Brad Foster

Director

Brad Foster joined the NRI Board as a Director in December 2024, bringing over two decades of agricultural expertise and business leadership to the role.

Based in Tumby Bay, South Australia, Brad is the Managing Director and Agronomist at Bawdens Rural, a position he has held since 2012. Under his leadership, the business has become a cornerstone of agricultural support on the Lower Eyre Peninsula, with a team of nine staff including three experienced agronomists. Bawdens provides comprehensive solutions in crop protection, fertiliser, seed, and animal health products, complemented by up-to-the-minute agronomic advice that keeps clients at the forefront of modern farming practices.

Brad’s career began as an Agronomist and Viticulturalist with M&S Supplies (2003-2005) before joining Bawdens Rural as an Agronomist in 2005. His progression to Manager in 2012 and later Managing Director reflects his commitment to innovation and service excellence. He holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Viticulture) from Adelaide University and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

Under Brad’s guidance, Bawdens has expanded services to include a growing fleet of mobile seed grader trucks and is developing a state-of-the-art stationary cleaning system unique to the region, alongside operating a 24-hour fuel station serving the Tumby Bay community

His extensive experience in agronomy, strategic planning, and rural business development enables him to champion tailored solutions that enhance productivity, profitability, and sustainability. Brad’s commitment to practical, results-driven partnerships aligns closely with NRI’s mission of supporting independent agricultural businesses and fostering long-term industry growth.
