Simon Forsyth
Simon Forsyth joined the NRI Board as a Director in February 2024, bringing more than three decades of agricultural industry expertise to the role.
Based in Coolamon, NSW, Simon is the Owner and Director of both Vital Ag Supplies and Sustain Ag Consulting. His businesses are built on strong client relationships and a full-service consultancy model, proudly serving as the only true independent in the region. With a team of five including merchandise staff, agronomic consultants, and administration. Simon’s operation actively supports local farmers, community groups, and sporting organisations, with strategic expansion plans on the horizon.
Simon’s career spans senior leadership roles across Australia’s agricultural sector, including National Merchandise Manager at Altora Ag (formerly BFB, 2019-2024), Branch Manager at Delta Agribusiness (2008-2019), Sales Manager at Tru Test (2000-2008), Area Manager at Virbac Animal Health (1994-2000), and Merchandise Manager at Dalgety/Landmark (1990-1994). He holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics and grew up on a family cropping and livestock operation between Cootamundra and Temora, where his passion for agriculture was firmly established.
Simon’s extensive experience in procurement, supply chain management, retail operations, and business development positions him to contribute valuable strategic insight to NRI’s mission of supporting independent agricultural businesses nationwide. His commitment to the independent retail model and personalised customer service exemplifies the values driving NRI’s network.
